Food traditions can be as involved as spending days preparing for a special feast or as simple as picking up a bucket of chicken on your way to Grandma and Grandpa’s house.
Take a minute to slow down and think how food has become a tradition in your life and how a simple meal can serve as an opportunity to share stories with family and friends.

We had some French bread left over from dinner last night and some cooked shrimp, so we threw together a quick dipping sauce with ingredients we had around the house.
INGREDIENTS:
1 Shallot, finely chopped
1 Clove Garlic, finely chopped
4 Leaves Basil, chopped
Zest of 1 Orange
Juice of 1 Orange
1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
1 Teaspoon Mustard
1/2 Cup Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to Taste
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl except for the olive oil. Slowly whisk in olive oil until the sauce thickens.
Serve as a dipping sauce with bread or shrimp or anything else you like to dip. Also makes a yummy salad dressing.
